Jesus and Mary, Mother of God

Luke 1:42

 *In a loud voice (the woman) exclaimed: 

“Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear!*

Child of Light

A breath, a cry
A spark of new and ageless light
Is born to us
From reaches felt, beyond our sight

Her glance, her gaze
Her knowing look so sure and bright--
Somehow we sense
Within her soul is heaven's might!

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, 

that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, 

but have everlasting life.

Luke 11:27

*As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, 

“Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.”*

Now there stood 

by the cross of Jesus his mother, 

and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.

John 19:26-27

When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to her, “Woman, here is your son,”  and to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.

In the arms of Mary, Mother of God

He is Risen

Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? 

Jesus answered, 

Thou sayest that I am a king. 

To this end was I born, 

and for this cause came I into the world, 

that I should bear witness unto the truth. 

Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

That your baby boy will one day walk on water?

That your baby boy will save our sons and daughters?

Did you know

That your baby boy has come to make you new?

This child that you've delivered

Will soon deliver you

That your baby boy will give sight to a blind man?

Mary did you know

That your baby boy will calm a storm with His hand?

Did you know

That your baby boy has walked where angels trod?

And when you kiss your little baby

You've kissed the face of God

Mary, did you know?

The blind will see

The deaf will hear

And the dead will live again

The lame will leap

The dumb will speak

The praises of the Lamb

Mary did you know

That your baby boy is Lord of all creation?

Mary did you know

That your baby boy will one day rule the nations?

Did you know

That your baby boy is heaven's perfect Lamb?

This sleeping child you're holding

Is the Great I Am

Oh, Mary, did you know?
