And there stood one among them that was like unto God, and he said unto those who were with him: We will go down, for there is space there, and we will take of these materials, and we will make an earth whereon these may dwell;
And we will prove them herewith, to see if they will do all things whatsoever the Lord their God shall command them;
Abraham 3:24–25Behold, the Lord hath created the earth that it should be inhabited; and he hath created his children that they should possess it.
Yea, and the herb, and the good things which come of the earth, whether for food or for raiment, or for houses, or for barns, or for orchards, or for gardens, or for vineyards; Yea, all things which come of the earth, in the season thereof, are made for the benefit and the use of man, both to please the eye and to gladden the heart;

To truly reverence the Creator, we must appreciate His creations. God intends His creations to be pleasing to look upon and to enliven the mind and spirit.5 It is important to see and appreciate the glory and grandeur of God in everything about us,6 because the state of the human soul and the environment are interconnected—each affects the other. The earth, all living things, and the expanse of the universe all eloquently witness of Him.

who gives breath to its people,
and life to those who walk on it:

Let the sea and everything in it roar!
Let the countryside and everything in it celebrate!Then all the trees of the forest too
will shout out joyfully
